Emergency Procedures
Multyr contracts are deployed on Arbitrum One. The system is currently in validation phase. Deposits are not open to the public. Behavior described on this page reflects the protocol's designed behavior; some mechanisms are active in shadow testing, others become active at public launch. See the Status page for details.
This page describes how the protocol responds to critical situations.
Emergency Controls
The system includes immediate-response mechanisms:
- global pause
- deposit-only pause
- withdrawal-only pause
- strategy degradation
These controls are accessible to the Guardian role.
Guardian Actions
The Guardian may:
- halt protocol activity
- isolate failing strategies
The Guardian cannot:
- modify parameters
- bypass governance constraints
Force Withdrawal
Force Withdrawal is a strategy-conditional exit path available in extreme conditions. It is not a standard user-selectable withdrawal mode and should not be presented as such in user interfaces.
Key properties:
- prioritizes capital access over efficiency
- fee is variable and depends on underlying strategy conditions
- available when normal exit paths are constrained
- used as a last-resort access mechanism, not as a routine option
See Fees for the fee structure and Withdrawals for positioning relative to standard modes.
Recovery
System recovery requires governance:
- reactivation of strategies
- restoration of normal operations
- parameter adjustments
All recovery actions are subject to timelock.
Design Principle
Emergency controls follow a clear rule:
→ easy to stop, controlled to restart
